VTS and State Standards

VTS supports the kind of learning currently mandated by state Departments of Education and outlined in state-specific Standards. VTS learners observe carefully, evaluate, synthesize, justify and speculate — habits of mind which are central to critical thinking. The practice of VTS supports a wide range of learning skills that readily transfer to other curriculum areas. These documents illustrate how VTS aligns to the standards of specific
